Gang Vani lost, seven arrested

SHAH ALAM - Police busted a robbery gang known as the " Gang Vani ' with the arrest of seven members of the group , including two women in a series of raids around Klang yesterday.

South Klang OCPD ACP Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the suspect was arrested when his anti-crime patrols in the Port Klang area about 10am .

He said the officers and men on duty came across three suspects seen hovering with a Proton Wira in suspicious circumstances .

" We hold them in check , but the three suspects tried to run away cause scuffle .

He said the review found that the registration number of the car used also false and the car is a vehicle that was reported missing in Shah Alam this year .

Kamarul Zaman said following the arrests, the department arrested two male suspects , aged 30 and 41 years in the nearby area about two hours later ,

Investigation under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery and armed

The suspects remanded until February 19 to facilitate investigations .
