Judge Sentences decided Mohd Yusoff Yunus under Section 395 of the Penal Code.
During the proceedings yesterday, Muhammad Aminuddin lawyers appealed the light sentence against the accused he support a wife and three small children .
"The accused pleaded guilty bold and no one stand to gain if a long prison sentence is imposed , but only inconvenient taxpayers to cover the cost of prison , " he said.
The appeal , however, objected to the state DPP , Intan Nur Hilwani Mat Rifin to apply to the court to consider the public interest above self-interest of the accused.
"The court should also consider the amount of money that was robbed in this case, while serious crime is more widespread done that, " he said.
Two other friends of the accused , Mohammad Faiz Mohd Kamal , 22 , and a military man, Mohamad Adnan Mohamed , 27 , who denies the charges to be heard on 20 and 21 April.
