Tawau Hot Springs became popular

Tawau - Tawau Hot Springs now start sketching a name as one of the tourist spots in Sabah .
   
Although not listed as a popular destination but the natural hot springs that also draw picnics and family leisure activities .
   
Heated pool is believed to be formed over hundreds of years and only found about five decades ago .
   
Besides being a family picnic spots , the hot springs were also visited for various purposes, including to perform the ritual of applying ' fulfillment of intention . '
   
Some rituals are often observed practice of throwing coins into the pond by visitors who believe the act could grant their wishes .
   
Ritual is currently not being done by the Chinese but also by other communities who wish the pool was able to meet their intent .
   
Whatever the purpose of their visit , Tawau Hot Springs is a synonym for the people of Sabah although they are not drawn on the chart preferences of visitors.
 
BE A SCIENTIFIC STUDY LOCATION

START WITH POND IDLE

A local visitor , Albert Chin , 56 , said the developer and the management company should look at the potential pool uniqueness of various aspects of this pool .
   
" In the old days , the pool is visited not only because of the uniqueness of the water is always warm but they can boil an egg at a picnic , " he said.
   
He said that if the practice of boiling or soaking the eggs are still allowed, it will continue to record an increase in traffic of visitors .
   
This pool should not just rely on visitors who come just to soak the feet but to diversify its activities , including the activities allow boiling an egg.
 
POND START CHANGING FACES

Realizing the potential and importance, the Rekobumi Sdn Bhd which has the responsibility to manage the pool for the last three years has changed the face of the pond .
   
Puddles of water scattered , the hot springs it now looks more organized in line with its position as the new location of tourist attractions.
   
Director, Datuk Soon Ten Fook told Bernama , efforts to develop the pool and its surroundings will continue in line with current needs .
   
"There is still much to be improved in order to make this an ability to compete and meet the needs of visitors as well as focusing on safety, " he said.
   
Among the proposals for the future of the pool provides a mini zoo to house exotic animals .
