Manjung OCPD ACP Jaafar Baba said , a total of 142 adolescents under the age of 15 found to be involved in the problem during January this year .
He said the problem is quite disturbing when it involves a lot of underage people .
" Throughout January we had 16 operations and arrested 96 motorcycle is involved in street gangs are a problem .
" There were about 77 people involved adolescents aged 16 years and over were arrested for various offenses including no license , expired license and road tax has expired, " he said at a press conference here yesterday .
Jaafar said , for the past year , a total of 62 operations conducted and a total of 123 motorcycles were arrested .
Obviously, the police are serious in dealing with such symptoms as they can pose a danger not only to themselves but also to the young people .
" They disrupt traffic when doing illegal racing activities cause many undesirable things happen , " he said.
He said the action was taken more to educate people not to commit the immoral act .
He said police would disperse gangs in advance and if the action is not effective then legal action taken by suing motorcyclists and their parents .
"Parents need to be more aware of the activities of their children and do not allow children who are not licensed to drive the vehicle because it can cause all sorts of problems , " he said.
