Revenge motive five people were killed in southern Thailand

PATANI - THAILAND . Alleged motive of revenge attacks in two incidents of separatist violence that resulted in five deaths in two incidents of yesterday and this morning .

In one scene at 6:30 in the morning local time, the attackers were armed with AK47 and M16 uses two motorcycles shot at a Buddhist who gives food to the monks in the village Salamai , Maelan district , Pattani .

Pol Col Sathit Polpinich , Maelan district police chief , said at the scene, the monk given security by police and volunteers.

In the incident, two of the victims died on the spot while two others died in hospital Maelan , he said , adding that the victim was a priest and a child nine years.

Seven other people were injured , including two children , four seniors and a policeman .

Pattani Province police chief Maj Gen Poth Suaisuwang deployed 100 security officers to hunt down the suspects in the neighborhood.

Said one of the suspects shot the security guard injured .

Yesterday, a bank officer 28-year -old woman was shot dead and his body was burned on the way back home in Panaret , Pattani .

The incident occurred in the village Toktitir , Yaring , Pattani is about 10 kilometers from her home .

According to Pattani provincial police chief , the two events may be motivated by revenge acts by insurgents following the death of three children in Highland on 4 February.

Poth said this is evident in the writings found at the scene who said, " this is in retaliation for the deaths of three children in
Highland " .
