Hi Lim Ang , 72 , from Taman Seri Jaya , Kuala Hold said he was surprised when the doctor told the pain was due to the fish bones are in the belly .
" During the meal did not realize , I do not feel swallowed a bone , " he said.
According to him, his stomach began to hurt after a few weeks , but his stomach is also hard .
" Then I sent my child to a hospital in Penang and confirmed the fish bones , " he said.
According to him, due to circumstances, his stomach had to be operated to remove the fish bones .
" Since then , my health is getting disturbed until now , " he said.
He said his wife , Yook Cheng Guan , 63 , also suffered health problems including paralysis of the right side .
" Now , children help a bit for our daily needs .
"Because of that, I hope that the application of the Social Welfare Department ( SWD ) can be approved , " he said.
He said he had sent a form to the department on behalf of his wife since last year , but has yet to receive any response .
"Therefore , I hope the wife gets financial assistance given me in getting sick .
"At least it can also help ease the burden of my family , " he said.
